Job Title: Recruiter – Behavioral Health
Location: Remote (U.S.-based)
Employment Type: Temporary contract, currently slated through EOY


We are seeking a Recruiter who can balance hands-on recruiting with team mentorship. This role will manage high-volume requisitions, focusing primarily on counselor positions, and play a critical role in building scalable recruiting processes. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable coaching phone screeners, and can guide clinic managers and administrative staff through best practices in recruiting and hiring.

Our client is a leading behavioral health organization with clinics and team members across multiple states. They are seeking an experienced behavioral health care Recruiter to come in and help them manage a high req load. This position will be primarily focused on placing Counselors across the US.


Your role:

  • Lead and manage a high-volume requisition load (120+ open roles across the U.S., primarily counselors).
  • Partner with 10–11 clinic managers to understand staffing needs, set expectations, and ensure consistent communication.
  • Mentor and coach a small team of phone screeners (IVs) and junior recruiters, guiding them through candidate screening and handoffs.
  • Train and support administrative staff in recruiting-related tasks and best practices.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, scheduling, and offer support.
  • Collaborate with leadership and colleagues to ensure timely staffing solutions, especially during leaves of absence and high-demand periods.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement for efficiency, consistency, and candidate experience.


What you’ve got:

  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience
  • 5+ healthcare or behavioral health recruiting experience required.
  • Experience recruiting in the AZ market strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor or lead teammates in a recruiting environment.
  • Experience managing high requisition loads and partnering with multiple hiring managers simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-moving, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to coach others.
  • Comfortable working virtually across multiple states and time zones.
