Job Title: Public Sector SaaS Sales Executive
Location: Boston, MA | New York, NY | New Jersey | Phoenix, AZ
Compensation: $80,000 – $110,000 base salary + commission

They are seeking a Public Sector SaaS Sales Executive to join their team and expand their footprint across city and state agencies.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will build relationships with public sector leaders, introduce them to our client’s software solutions, and guide them through the procurement process. You will own the full sales cycle—responding to RFPs, managing complex deals, and collaborating with internal technical teams to ensure solutions align with customer needs.
This is a high-visibility role where your efforts will directly support the mission of making public services more accessible and effective.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy targeting city, state, and municipal agencies.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with government stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Lead the full sales cycle, including RFP responses, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
  • Partner closely with technical teams to align customer needs with product capabilities.
  • Deliver impactful presentations and product demonstrations to non-technical and technical audiences.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets through new account acquisition and growth.
  • Stay current on government procurement processes, compliance, and funding cycles.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and public sector forums.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, with at least 2 years selling into the public sector (government, municipalities, or related).
  • Experience selling SaaS or technology solutions is strongly preferred.
  • Proven success leading RFP-driven sales cycles.
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and communicate them in business terms.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with public sector procurement and compliance requirements.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
