Title: Digital Transformation Analyst
Location: Tempe, AZ or Anchorage, AK preferred; Remote possible for candidates in AZ, WA, or nearby states
Employment Type: 6-month contract-to-hire
Our client is undergoing a digital transformation to modernize systems, streamline processes, and better serve internal and external stakeholders. They’re seeking a critical thinker and problem-solver to help lead this change. This role blends strategic planning with hands-on execution and requires someone comfortable navigating both business and technical conversations.
You’ll work cross-functionally with IT, finance, operations, and consultants—evaluating pain points, designing solutions, and building tools like dashboards and workflows to drive smarter decisions and operational efficiency.
Your role:
- Lead or support digital transformation initiatives across business units
- Evaluate current systems and workflows to identify gaps and architect modern solutions
- Translate business needs and requests into actionable system, process, or data recommendations
- Build clean, effective Power BI dashboards to support data-driven decisions
- Use Alteryx to automate workflows and streamline data preparation
- Perform data modeling and write SQL, DAX, and Power Query M to support analytics
- Document processes and requirements to support system improvements
- Ensure data accuracy through regular validation and quality checks
- Contribute to daily collaboration, team problem-solving, and continuous improvement
What you’ve got:
- Strong critical thinking and problem-assessment skills
- 2+ years of experience using Alteryx for data preparation or automation (required)
- 2+ years of experience with Power BI, including dashboard design and report building
- Experience with DAX, Power Query M, and SQL
- Proven ability to work with business stakeholders to scope and deliver impactful solutions
- Experience in process improvement, automation, or digital transformation
- Collaborative mindset and comfort working across functions and disciplines
- Familiarity with Microsoft tools like Teams and SharePoint (preferred)
- Experience in finance, operations, auditing, or regulated environments is a plus
- Eagerness to learn and support tools like Power Apps, Power Automate, or SmartSheet
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, IT, or a related field
