Job Description

Job Title: Data Architect / Modeler (Clinical Data)

Location: Remote (U.S.-based)

Contract Length: 6 months, with possible extension

We are seeking a highly responsive and adaptable Data Architect / Modeler with strong database experience and a background in the clinical or pharmaceutical industry. This individual will be stepping into a fast-moving, agile team environment that functions like a startup, working in 90-day sprints. The role requires someone who is comfortable with ambiguity, thrives under pressure, and can quickly deliver high-quality results.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Collaborating with a global team to design and evolve clinical data models, primarily in Snowflake and PostgreSQL.
  • Supporting both structured and unstructured clinical trial data needs, including templated boilerplate content based on disease area/indication.
  • Building and refining data architectures that will support clinical study design and integrate with various downstream functions, including off-the-shelf vendor products.
  • Participating in efforts to streamline clinical study design and documentation using alternative tools to Microsoft Word.
  • Providing input on API design and build and integrating with other systems.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong experience as a Data Modeler, with hands-on expertise in Snowflake and PostgreSQL.
  • Ability to work effectively with ambiguity and a high degree of independence.
  • Background in clinical science or pharmaceutical data, with a working understanding of industry nomenclature and standards.
  • Familiarity with CDISC is helpful, though deep knowledge is not required.
  • Comfortable working in a highly-Agile environment, with rapid changes.
  • Experience working with APIs, and comfort working across data types (structured and unstructured).
  • Knowledge of data modeling tools.
  • Familiarity with Python and Angular is a plus.
  • Comfortable attending early morning meetings (starting at 4:30 AM PST occasionally).

This is a high-impact role within a high-velocity team—perfect for someone who is proactive, collaborative, and excited to tackle complex data challenges in the clinical research space.
