About the Role

Are you a data-driven professional with a strong technical background and business savvy? Our client is looking for a Senior Database Analyst who can strategically link data infrastructure with business needs. In this high-visibility position, you will work closely with key executives, including the CEO, to drive impactful, data-informed decisions that enhance operational efficiency and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work alongside various teams to deeply understand their processes and identify areas where data solutions can improve efficiency and support business objectives.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for business processes and workflows, ensuring clear data management practices.
    • Facilitate "train the trainer" sessions to promote data literacy and procedural clarity across departments.
  • ERP & Technical Communication:

    • Act as the main technical liaison between internal business teams and the ERP vendor, aligning technical and functional needs.
  • Database & Reporting Expertise:

    • Leverage advanced Microsoft SQL Server capabilities to manage and analyze ERP data, maintaining data integrity and streamlined workflows.
    • Create, refine, and optimize SQL-based reports, Microsoft SSRS reports, and Power BI dashboards to meet changing business needs.
  • Database Performance and Optimization:

    • Continuously monitor and enhance database performance, focusing on robust data structures, minimized downtime, and improved system efficiency.
    • Establish performance metrics and data quality standards, providing insights and recommendations for ongoing enhancements.
  • Data Quality & Governance:

    • Conduct regular data quality assessments to ensure accuracy and reliability.
    • Implement actionable solutions to address data integrity issues and boost reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience & Technical Skills:

    • 7+ years of experience in relational database management and development, particularly with Microsoft SQL Server.
    • Strong understanding of full business processes, from order entry through to accounting.
    • Advanced skills in SQL programming and design within the Microsoft SQL Server environment.
    • Proven expertise in creating and managing Microsoft SSRS reports and Power BI dashboards.
    • In-depth knowledge of ERP systems and data integration.
  • Interpersonal Skills:

    • Outstanding communication and documentation skills, able to present complex data insights in a clear and actionable way for diverse audiences, both technical and non-technical.
