Job Description

Title: IT / Systems Administrator
Location: Phoenix, AZ


We are looking to place an IT/Systems Administrator with a strong work history with Hybrid Active directory, File Server, Print Server, Networking, and IT Process Documentation. You will work on a variety of technological support tasks and projects with multiple clients, including troubleshooting and problem resolution, in addition to proactive steps to reduce support calls and problems in general.

The Systems Administrator supports the IT Manager with day-to-day IT Service Delivery along with the IT Help Desk Team. You may also assist the Service Desk team across all 3 levels of support from time to time. The Systems Administrator produces weekly reports for the CIO and IT Manager analyzing IT Systems and Network trends in alignment with KPI and KRI in alignment with ITIL and COBIT 2019.


Your role:

  • Serve as the primary support for IT infrastructure services including but not limited to: Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Servers, Networks, Printing, Telcom
  • Experience with on premise Active directory and Azure AD
  • Primary support for cloud-based infrastructure, primarily with Azure
  • Work effectively within an COBIT/ITIL based service organization, prioritizing assigned tasks while responding to service desk issues
  • Assist the full IT team with projects in alignment with Agil SCRUM
  • Document resolution to common problems in IT Service Desk
  • Maintain documentation standards and source control to track all updates and configuration changes
  • Provide daily administration, maintenance, and monitoring of physical and virtual networks
  • Subject matter expert with network protocols like TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP, Routing, DNS, DHCP, SIP and VOIP
  • Subject matter expert network switches, VLANS, firewalls, and ports
  • Hands on experience with Cisco Meraki/SDWAN/VMware/Azure Firewalls
  • Experience with VIOP Phone services, PC Soft Phones, LAN Lines, Call routing and Auto attendants
  • Good understanding of the usage of Microsoft monitoring tools including packet level Wireshark, etc.
  • Scripting and automation using any scripting language (PowerShell, visual basic)
  • Experience with Disaster Recovery Backup and Restore strategy
  • Respond promptly and courteously to support requests, calls, emails, and other electronic communications
  • Prioritize your support calls using enterprise ticketing system and manage tickets with frequent updates, as well as escalating aging tickets, as required
  • Understanding of networking hardware and the ability to troubleshoot networking issues
  • Research and troubleshoot network security issues and provides timely resolution
  • If necessary, travel to other locations to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Maintain IT inventory, technology configuration management, of hardware and software to ensure currency and supportability
  • Keep IT Service Desk Documents, Configuration documents, and IT Procedures up to date
  • Develop procedures around Network and Server Configuration Management processes and procedures
  • Use Agil Scrum project methodology to track team goals, milestones, tasks, and time management
  • Aids in inventory management
  • Remote management tool and strategies
  • Maintains end user training documents to ensure that they are up to date
  • Use independent judgement and discretion in setting daily priorities and managing issues
  • Train and orient staff on the use of agency-issued hardware, applications, and software
  • Work on multiple assignments with a strong ability to effectively multi-task
  • Assist with Moves Adds Changes, system setups, breakdowns, and office move
  • Adhere to the SWHD Core Values and the Code of Ethics of NASW and NAEYC
  • Participate in continuing education through self-paced training, industry training, and approved conferences to acquire the technology skills to coach and train the IT Services team, keeping pace with technology goals


What you’ve got:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Must have technical/diagnostic ability along with analytical ability to diagnose problems down to the root cause
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Sr Support Specialist or Systems Administrator with the following: o Network support and issue resolution o Strong understanding Azure Active Directory o Strong understanding Microsoft Servers o Cisco Meraki Switch and Wireless Connectivity in an office environment o Strong understanding Networking VLANS
  • Office 365 Applications
  • Active Directory account administration in a hybrid configuration
  • Experience in working on project teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Server Administration
  • Experience with Disaster Recovery Backup and Restore strategy
  • Experience with AD and Microsoft Azure AD in a hybrid environment
  • Experience with network architectures, including LANs/VLANS/WIFI/WANs, Multisite Routing, Networking - VNETS, and connections with the WAN environment
  • Experience with office technology needs assessments, site surveys, client site performance, installs and configuration of new office IT equipment including LANs/VLANs/WIFI
  • Network equipment Patch Management tools, including test and deployment
  • Experience with public DNS record and domain registration
  • Experience with Network threat monitoring, including Alert, and remediation
  • Experience with firewalls, internet, VPNs remote implementation, troubleshooting
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Security and configuration management (EDR)
  • Knowledge of IT Security Standard NIST CSF 8323
