Title: Security Administrator
Location: Remote (must be located on West Coast/PST time zone)
Type: Contract 1 year
We are actively searching for a Security Administrator who has a proven track record in crafting and implementing robust security solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for the management and upkeep of critical services, manage various facets of server configuration management while balancing multiple responsibilities. This role will go beyond mere patching to address vulnerabilities by using scanners to identify data vulnerabilities and initiate remediation efforts. Identifying and flagging outdated or unsupported software, along with the need for patching or removal from the environment, will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities.
The ideal candidate must have proven experience in infrastructure or systems security, or cybersecurity, aimed at protecting digital assets from various threats. In addition, the ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of domain replication, including the ability to track the source and intercept data in transit.
Your role:
- Manage and maintain critical services, including but not limited to Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS.
- Handle various aspects of server configuration management, overseeing multiple roles to ensure optimal performance.
- Oversee the establishment of certificate chains and promptly address any related errors to maintain a secure environment.
- Play a pivotal role in identifying and addressing vulnerabilities using advanced scanning tools to identify data vulnerabilities, initiating prompt and effective remediation efforts.
- Identify and flag outdated or unsupported software, proactively managing patching or removal from the environment to ensure compliance and security.
- Devise strategic initiatives to enhance security measures and proactively mitigate risks within a dynamic multi-domain environment.
What youve got:
- Minimum of 6-8 years of proven experience in a Systems Administrator role, emphasizing expertise in infrastructure security and remediation.
- Extensive experience with vulnerability scanning, endpoint protection, and patching solutions.
- Proficient in lateral movement between domains, demonstrating an understanding of security implications in multi-domain environments with trust relationships.
- Hands-on experience in Penetration Testing.
- Familiarity with server load balancing.
- Thorough knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
