Job Description

Title: Sr. SAP EWM/MM Functional Analyst
Location: Phoenix, AZ

As the Senior SAP EWM MM Functional Analyst you will align technology with business strategy, work directly with the client gathering requirements to analyze, design and/or implement technology, SAP best practices, and business changes to achieve defined business goals. The Senior SAP eWM/MM Functional Analyst will be responsible for configuration, defining business processes, user support, production issues, system testing, training, and documentation in SAP S/4 HANA. Success of this position will be measured by continued system and business process improvements on an existing SAP S/4 HANA implementation.

Your role:

  • Work independently to design and configure solutions to meet the most complex business requirements in the areas of Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and inventory/material management (MM) which may also include material resource planning, production scheduling, purchasing, contracts/scheduling agreements, inter-company & cross-plant transfers, goods movements, invoice verification, and supplier evaluation.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to align eWM/MM technology solutions with business strategies.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of best practices for delivery of stable, reliable, and highly available solutions.
  • Evaluate current functionality and advise best practices and/or system improvements for continuous improvement.
  • Promote effective and collaborative communication with internal team members and business partners.
  • Manage solution scope within standard SAP software capabilities wherever possible.
  • Collaborate with business leads to understand their needs, create requirements documents, and design new or improve current business processes.
  • Collaborate with the SAP ABAP team to design custom enhancements, reports, interfaces, workflows, and forms and create relevant functional design specifications.
  • Troubleshoot SAP system technical and functional issues, coordinating issue resolution across appropriate teams in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage all phases of the project life cycle including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support/maintenance.
  • Train and educate business users on the proper use of the functionality, including creating appropriate business process or training documentation.
  • Communicate status of projects and initiatives to middle and senior level management.

What you’ve got:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related area.
  • 8 years’ experience in Supply Chain modules (EWM/MM) gathering requirements, configuring, and customizing. S/4 HANA experience required.
  • Experience with the use of SDLC methodologies in project delivery required.
  • Expert design/configuration skills in SAP eWM/MM.
  • Thorough understanding of SAP EWM processes in EWM and S4 integration, storage bin determination for put-away and stock removal, physical inventory and cycle count, EWM handheld solution, batch management, serial number management, EWM data structure.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAP integration points for transactional and master data.
  • Ability to analyze complex business problems and evaluate solutions.
  • Ability to work directly with business partners and end users to generate consensus around technical direction.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Ability to operate in a cross-functional/matrix environment.
  • Ability to handle complex analytical tasks by working directly with business subject matter experts to translate functional design into technical specifications.
  • Ability to grasp requirements quickly and anticipate potential future requirements. Capable of offering alternate viable solutions.
  • Expert, in-depth business process and industry knowledge across many areas and provide context to business requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written including ability to conduct formal and informal presentations and workshops to all levels of management.
  • Experience with designing integrations with 3rd party platforms (such as Salesforce).
  • Excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize effectively to deliver results within reasonably established timelines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, smaller company environment.
  • Additional experience on ALM Quality Center or other defect tracking tools helpful.
