We are partnering with a well-known national retail business on the appointment of a People Advisor to join their growing People & Culture team.*

Reporting to an experienced Senior People Business Partner, you'll partner with the Area and Store Manager population across half of the national footprint. This is a hands-on, fast-paced People Advisor role covering the full employee lifecycle, with three core focus areas:


-Operational HR & lifecycle support - high-volume people changes, variation letters and transactions through SAP SuccessFactors; helping shift a shared inbox model to a ServiceNow ticketing approach.

- ER advisory & leader coaching - first-line guidance to Area and Store Managers on performance, conduct and disciplinary matters, attending virtually for more complex or sensitive cases; coaching leaders to lift their own HR capability.

- Change, automation & improvement -nsupporting the embedding of SAP SuccessFactors, contributing to the automation agenda, and getting involved in broader People projects as the team matures.


About you

You have a strong work ethic and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You're systems-savvy, resourceful and confident navigating ambiguity- you don't wait to be told, you find a way. You bring solid ER fundamentals, sound judgement, and the ability to coach leaders through tricky people matters. You're collaborative and warm, but you also bring energy, pace and accountability.


You'll likely have:

- 2+ years' experience in a People Advisor, HR Advisor or HR Coordinator role, ideally within a large multi-site environment (retail, hospitality, healthcare, logistics or similar)

- Strong working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, modern awards and Australian ER frameworks

- Hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors (or comparable HRIS) and the Microsoft stack

- A genuine appetite for automation, process improvement and modern ways of working

- Resilience, reliability and a real bias for action
