Job Description
We are working with a values-driven Aged Care provider operating across multiple sites in NSW and the ACT. The People, Engagement, and Culture department is focused on building a positive, collaborative culture and ensuring we have the right people in the right roles. They operate with a strong commitment to care, delivering high-quality, 24/7 support to older people in our community.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior HR Advisor who is ready to provide critical operational HR support. Primarily based in the inner south west of Sydney, this highly visible role will act as the crucial first line of support for our frontline business units across their network.
Key Responsibilities
- First-Line HR Support: Act as the primary point of contact for operational day-to-day support, providing clear guidance and advice on HR policies, employee relations, and performance management matters.
- Operational & Recruitment Surge Support: Roll up your sleeves and provide hands-on, end-to-end recruitment support during busy periods, including advertising, screening, shortlisting, coordinating interviews, and preparing employment contracts.
- Onboarding & Administration: Support the onboarding process, ensure pre-employment checks are completed, and manage associated HR administration and system updates to ensure accuracy, compliance, and continuity of service.
- Employee Relations & Compliance: Advise on employment legislation and resolve issues related to HR and WHS policies. Support broader workforce transitions, restructures, and recruitment strategies aimed at minimising agency usage across designated portfolios.
About You
- Qualifications: You hold tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.
- Experience: You have proven generalist HR experience, ideally within a multi-layered environment like the Aged Care sector. You possess strong skills in the application of Australian legislation, codes of practice, and award interpretation.
- Work Style: You are a collaborative problem-solver who can dive into the details and interact confidently with staff at all levels. You are willing to provide hands-on administrative support to ensure the team operates effectively.
- Requirements: A current driver's license and an appetite to work with a collaborative team. You must also have the right to work in Australia, be able to obtain an NDIS worker screening clearance, and pass a pre-employment medical clearance.
What We Offer
- Not-for-Profit (NFP) salary packaging.
- A collaborative team environment where your day-to-day support directly enables our organisation to deliver exceptional care.
