Job Description

Imagine a role where your expertise in employee relations doesn’t just sit in a spreadsheet, but directly fuels a mission of social inclusion. At its heart, this opportunity is about connecting people to purpose. We are seeking a seasoned People Performance Partner to join a highly cohesive, high-engagement team dedicated to supporting a workforce that makes a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities. This isn’t about just "doing the work"; it’s about acting as a true partner to build leadership capability and quiet the noise so your stakeholders can focus on what they do best.

In this pivotal role, you will lead the people strategy for the largest division within a purpose-driven organisation, supporting approximately 300 dedicated staff. Reporting to a supportive Manager of People Performance, you will be the primary point of contact for General Managers and Service Managers within a complex, operational environment. You’ll find yourself in a team that values knowledge and authenticity, working autonomously while naturally mentoring your peers to help the whole "tribe" thrive. Whether you are working from home, collaborating in the office, or visiting sites across Inner West and Western Sydney, your presence will be the grounded assurance leaders need to navigate change.

The Impact: Outcomes that Matter

Over the next 12 months, you will move beyond reactive HR to become a proactive coach and strategist. You will:

  • Elevate Leadership: Transform manager capabilities by flexing your style - providing hands-on scripts for some, while coaching others toward total autonomy.
  • Resolve with Integrity: Manage a dynamic caseload of employee relations matters and lead investigations, ensuring every workplace challenge is viewed as solvable.
  • Drive Strategic Growth: Move the needle on workforce planning and engagement survey action plans, ensuring the organisational "vibe" remains strong even as goalposts change.
  • Advocate for Quality: Use your confidence to question the status quo and push back on stakeholders when necessary, ensuring a people-first culture remains the priority.

The Reward: Why This is Your Next Move

This role offers a competitive salary of $130k + Super, plus the benefits of salary packaging. You will enjoy a true hybrid work-life balance with two days of flexibility to manage your own schedule and three days to connect with your team in the office or onsite. More importantly, you’ll be joining an environment that values your lived experience and encourages you to take control of your professional destiny. If you are a resilient IR/ER specialist with experience in complex sectors like Disability or Aged Care, it’s time to reconnect with your inner confidence and lead with purpose.
