We're on the lookout for a senior Health & Safety professional to lead the charge in a high-complexity, high-responsibility environment. This Health & Safety Management role sits at the heart of an Upper Tier Major Hazard Facility (MHF) where regulatory compliance is the baseline, but safety excellence is the ambition.

You’ll drive the continual improvement of a robust, high-performing safety system, working alongside a committed and engaged executive team. You’ll bring clarity and calm to complex risk environments, lead a passionate HSW team, and influence every level of the organisation to think smarter and act safer.

Your portfolio includes:

• Oversight of a recently resubmitted Safety Case (under the MHF framework), and possible liaison with regulators

• Leading workstreams related to the new ACC AEP audit framework

• Guiding a business still in recovery mode two years post-cyclone, helping build resilience into the business model

• Ownership of strategic safety planning and execution

• Coaching leaders and engaging frontline teams

• Oversight of investigations, emergency readiness, and continuous learning

We’re after someone with deep experience in high-risk environments, a proven track record of shaping safety cultures, and the capability to manage complexity with confidence. You’ll need emotional intelligence, pragmatic leadership, and a collaborative mindset.
