Account Manager, Key Construction Accounts
Location: Greensboro, NC (≈20% travel)
Role Summary: Own SEC’s largest construction accounts (~90% of revenue) by identifying upcoming work, curating pre-construction planning, and surfacing competitor pricing intelligence. Participate in senior management forums and twice-weekly go/no-go sales meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Stewardship (90%): Primary point-person for top clients; monitor pipelines to flag new scopes and change orders.
- Pre-Construction Facilitation: Lead planning sessions with estimating, BIM, safety, and field teams; deliver competitor pricing briefs.
- Relationship Growth: Nurture client C-suite and project contacts; develop 6-month work plans.
- Meeting Cadence: Present account health, risk flags, and opportunity snapshots at management and go/no-go meetings twice weekly.
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years in account management or sales support in construction/heavy industrial.
- Strong relationship management, facilitation, and competitive analysis skills.
- No direct reports, but proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Compensation & Perks:
- Base: $140K–$150K
- Bonus: $40K–$60K discretionary, tied to account growth metrics
