Lead HVAC Installation Technician
Location: Grand Rapids, MI Area
Pay: $30–$42/hour (Based on Experience)

Job Summary:
We're seeking an experienced Lead HVAC Installation Technician to join our growing team in the Grand Rapids area. You'll be responsible for installing and retrofitting HVAC systems primarily in commercial and industrial buildings. This role requires excellent technical skills, clear communication, and the ability to manage projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install new and retrofit existing HVAC systems (RTUs, split systems, boilers, chillers, WSHPs, cooling towers, make-up air units, etc.)

• Coordinate projects in occupied commercial and industrial facilities, ensuring minimal disruption

• Plan, manage, and complete installation projects independently and efficiently

• Communicate regularly with customers and management about project progress

• Perform basic equipment startups and ensure quality control

• Identify and proactively resolve potential challenges affecting timelines or quality

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years HVAC installation experience, especially retrofits

• Solid understanding of HVAC systems

• Experience with pipefitting and sheet metal work

• Strong ability to manage projects from planning through completion

• Effective communicator with customers and team members

• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction

Preferred Qualifications:

• HVAC service background or basic startup experience a plus

• Previous experience leading teams or projects strongly desired
