Role Overview
As an Electrical Craft Instructor for the client’s training program, you’ll leverage your journey-level expertise to deliver NCCER-accredited classroom instruction, mentor adult learners, and shape the next generation of skilled electricians.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, deliver, and adapt NCCER-based curriculum for Core and four craft levels
Lead hands-on stations and performance evaluations, ensuring alignment with industry standards
Monitor student progress via goal metrics; implement action plans when objectives aren’t met
Conduct field audits of apprentices, gather feedback for training gap analyses
Assemble semi-annual reports for Operations leadership on program outcomes
Enforce training-center guidelines and uphold “no cheating” and safety policies
Collaborate with Operations and recruiting to identify and onboard new apprentices
Success Metrics
≥ 90% student pass-rate on NCCER written and skill evaluations
Placement of 50+ apprentices per year into field assignments
≥ 95% positive feedback in end-of-course evaluations
Who You Are
Journeyman level+ electrician passionate about teaching and mentorship
Self-starter with excellent verbal, written, and technical-writing skills
Adaptable under pressure, with a knack for innovative instructional methods
Committed to ongoing professional growth and safety advocacy
Qualifications & Experience
Journey-level electrician with 5+ years’ field experience
NCCER Instructor Training under a certified Master Trainer
Strong classroom management and curriculum-development skills
