Job Title: Electrical Foreman – Commercial and Industrial Construction

Location: Lafayette, IN

Position Summary:

The Electrical Foreman plays a critical leadership role on commercial and industrial job sites, overseeing the daily operations and performance of electricians and apprentices. This position requires strong technical knowledge, proven field leadership, and the ability to manage labor, materials, and schedules effectively. You'll serve as the key point of contact between field operations and project management, ensuring safety, productivity, and project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of electricians and apprentices on commercial and industrial projects
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, specifications, and submittals
  • Manage material orders, tool inventory, and daily jobsite organization
  • Ensure safety compliance and promote a strong safety culture
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and vendors
  • Maintain quality control, ensure timely task completion, and troubleshoot issues
  • Train and mentor crew members to develop skills and improve performance

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial and industrial electrical construction
  • Prior leadership experience managing teams of 10+
  • Experience on commercial and industrial projects $5M+ in value
  • High school diploma or GED (Trade School preferred)
  • Ability to read construction documents and perform layout work
  • Physical ability to work in all conditions, including heights and confined spaces
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and communication skills
  • Dependable, punctual, and committed to team success
