Quality Control (QC) Manager – Data Center Construction
Location: Council Bluffs, IA
Pay: $45–$50/hour + Overtime + $110/day Per Diem (7 days/week)
Type: Contract | On-Site | Full-Time

Position Overview

We are hiring a Quality Control Manager to oversee all QA/QC activities on a mission-critical data center construction project in Council Bluffs, Iowa. This role is responsible for implementing the project’s quality program, performing inspections, and maintaining documentation in alignment with owner specifications, industry standards, and internal procedures.

Candidates must have experience in large-scale commercial or industrial projects, with strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and structural systems commonly used in data center environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the implementation of the project-specific quality control plan
• Conduct inspections and audits of construction activities for compliance with specifications, drawings, and industry codes
• Oversee subcontractor work to ensure quality standards are met across all disciplines (MEP, civil, structural)
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inspection records and test documentation
• Coordinate and schedule inspections with the client, engineers, and AHJs as required
• Lead the punch list and close-out process in coordination with project management
• Identify and track non-conformance issues and support resolution planning
• Collaborate closely with field teams, subcontractors, and the client to ensure quality expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

• 5+ years of construction quality control experience, preferably in mission-critical or large-scale commercial projects
• Strong familiarity with data center construction practices and quality documentation standards
• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g., IBC, NEC, ASHRAE)
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, and submittals
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-trade environment and effectively communicate across teams

Compensation and Schedule

• $45–$50 per hour (based on experience)
• Overtime eligible
• $110/day per diem (paid 7 days/week)
• Weekly pay with direct deposit
• Contract duration: Minimum 6 months, with potential for extension
• Immediate start available
