About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-driven Structural Engineer with a passion for modular construction and infrastructure solutions. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for designing and analyzing structural systems for innovative products such as data halls, chiller plants, electrical modules, cooling towers, and central utility plants. You will collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and field teams to ensure our products are structurally sound, code-compliant, and optimized for real-world conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze steel structures, supports, and foundations for modular equipment and utility infrastructure.
- Apply building codes (ASCE, AISC, IBC) and engineering best practices to ensure safety, compliance, and performance.
- Conduct structural analysis using FEM and other methods to validate load-bearing integrity under various conditions.
- Use AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar software to produce detailed design drawings and simulations.
- Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and project managers to integrate structural elements into broader systems.
- Oversee structural documentation including fabrication and construction drawings.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and field teams to ensure designs are practical for production, transport, and installation.
- Perform site and shop floor visits to resolve technical challenges and validate construction feasibility.
- Participate in R&D efforts to improve existing structural solutions and develop new modular systems.
- Supervise or mentor junior engineers, designers, and drafters as required.
- Review vendor prints and ensures alignment with TAS design requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and innovations in structural and modular engineering.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited four-year program.
- Proficient in structural design and analysis; ability to independently create and manage design documents.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
- Technical writing skills for detailed documentation and specifications.
- Hands-on experience with design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Experience with StruCAD, STAAD.Pro, or other structural simulation software.
- Familiarity with Excel and other engineering-related tools.
- Interest in obtaining a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Previous internship or industry experience in modular construction, infrastructure, or manufacturing environments.
