MECHANICAL ESTIMATOR
Grand Rapids, MI |  $80,000–$110,000

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Develop detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, and plumbing) for commercial and industrial construction projects

• Interpret project drawings, specifications, and scope documents to prepare accurate material and labor takeoffs

• Solicit, analyze, and negotiate vendor and subcontractor quotes

• Prepare bid proposals, budgets, and value engineering options for review

• Collaborate closely with project managers, field supervisors, and company leadership to support a seamless handoff from bid to build

• Track bid performance and maintain historical cost data to improve future estimates

The Ideal Candidate:

• Mechanical estimating experience (HVAC and plumbing systems required)

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, construction drawings, and industry standards
