Employee & Labor Relations Specialist
Bilingual (Spanish Required) | On-Site | Travel Required
About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic Employee & Labor Relations Specialist to serve as the voice of the employees, proactively engaging with staff, resolving workplace concerns, and fostering a positive employer-employee relationship. This role requires someone who is approachable, highly visible on the floor, and skilled at handling employee relations issues with professionalism and discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for employee complaints, assessing concerns and referring complex issues to HR leadership.
- Respond to routine labor relations inquiries related to company policies and procedures.
- Conduct initial interviews and gather information on employee relations matters, including workplace complaints, harassment allegations, and grievances.
- Partner with leadership to identify and address ongoing performance challenges that impact employee engagement.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EEO laws, affirmative action, collective bargaining agreements, and labor relations best practices.
- Promote a positive work environment by being highly visible on the floor, talking to employees, and solving issues proactively.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, wearing appropriate PPE when required.
- Travel to job sites as needed to engage with employees and resolve concerns.
Required Qualifications:
- Bilingual (Spanish required) – strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess workplace issues effectively.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record (required for site visits).
- Ability to work independently and autonomously in a fast-paced environment
