ACCOUNTING MANAGER in Grand Rapids, MI
What You Will Be Doing
• Manage accounts payable and receivable for all departmental work
• Supervise a team of administrative personnel across multiple locations
• Ensure timely invoice entry and processing within defined timelines
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Oversee customer billing, renewals, and credit management
• Analyze customer financials and manage credit risk
• Monitor cash receipts and optimize cash application procedures
• Maintain accounting controls and ensure compliance with internal policies
• Lead month-end close processes and coordinate with corporate accounting
• Prepare financial reports, journal entries, and support audits
• Contribute to internal and external reporting accuracy and timeliness
The Ideal Candidate
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
• 2 years or more of experience in a supervisory or leadership accounting role
• Strong understanding of standard accounting principles and financial reporting
• Effective communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Other Essential Functions
• Experience with ERP systems and multi-location operations preferred
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and resolve discrepancies
