About the Role

Our client is hiring a Senior Project Manager to oversee and execute large-scale commercial plumbing projects. This is a high-impact role ideal for a strategic, experienced leader with strong commercial plumbing knowledge and project execution skills.

Key Responsibilities

Project Oversight & Execution

  • Lead all phases of assigned commercial plumbing projects from pre-construction to final closeout.
  • Conduct pre- and post-project meetings with Superintendents/Foremen.
  • Perform regular site inspections to ensure work aligns with project scope, schedule, and safety standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine project scope, materials, labor, and cost.
  • Attend on-site client meetings and act as a liaison between Precision Plumbing, vendors, and inspectors.

Financial & Cost Management

  • Develop and maintain accurate project budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor labor, subcontractor, equipment, and material costs against estimates using project management software.
  • Negotiate material pricing with vendors and maintain strong supplier/manufacturer relationships.
  • Ensure all change orders are properly documented, approved, and signed before work begins.
  • Coordinate removal of rental equipment in a timely manner to control project costs.

Logistics, Permits & Scheduling

  • Ensure permits, bonds, and insurance certificates are obtained before work begins.
  • Manage timely delivery of materials, tools, and equipment needed for successful project completion.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels and skilled workforce assignment for each project.
  • Schedule all necessary inspections with appropriate authorities.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including contracts, logbooks, change orders, and certificates of insurance.
  • Ensure all work complies with licensing, OSHA, and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize project management tools to track progress, generate reports, and communicate updates.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience in commercial plumbing project management.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong blueprint reading and spec interpretation skills.
  • Proficiency in estimating labor, material, and equipment costs.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with clients, vendors, and project teams.
  • Organized, deadline-driven, and capable of handling multiple large-scale projects.
  • Tech-savvy with construction management software and MS Office tools.
  • Demonstrates leadership, professionalism, and a high level of personal integrity.
