Senior Sheet Metal/Ductwork Estimator

The Sr. Sheet Metal/Ductwork Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for HVAC sheet metal and ductwork, subcontractor, and equipment scopes. This role requires strong analytical skills, industry experience, and the ability to collaborate with project executives, sales staff, managers, engineers, and clients to ensure precise job costing and bid proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze contract scopes, bid forms, project blueprints, specifications, and drawings to determine scope and requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for sheet metal fabrication, ductwork installation, labor, and materials.
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing for materials and subcontracted work.
• Assess labor costs and production schedules to ensure competitive and profitable estimates.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to refine project requirements.
• Review and submit proposals in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
• Stay updated on industry trends, building codes, and HVAC regulations.
• Assist in value engineering efforts.

• Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial HVAC systems, duct fabrication, and installation, and flexibility to adjust with company's best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Familiarity with industry standards, MCA, ASHRAE codes, and SMACNA guidelines is a plus.
