Traveling MEP Superintendent
Location: Nashville, TN.
Primary Function:
Oversee and manage on-site MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site MEP construction activities, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project plans.
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols, quality control measures, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to align project goals and resolve field-related challenges.
- Oversee manpower, materials, and equipment usage to maintain productivity and minimize delays.
- Conduct daily site inspections, document progress, and report updates to the project team.
- Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of work.
- Manage subcontractor performance, ensuring work meets contractual and quality requirements.
- Coordinate scheduling, inspections, and project milestones to keep the project on track.
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members to maintain strong working relationships.
- Troubleshoot and provide solutions for unforeseen construction or design challenges.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or experience.
- Minimum of eight years of supervisory experience in facility construction.
- Extensive knowledge of construction technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in commercial and industrial projects.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple trades and ensure seamless coordination.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel frequently based on project locations.
