Position Overview
The Vice President of Operations will oversee the execution of construction projects, ensuring alignment with the orgs standards and client expectations. This role requires strategic leadership to manage project lifecycles, uphold safety and quality standards, and drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership: Manage the execution of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Safety Compliance: Enforce adherence to safety policies, providing necessary training and certifications to all employees.
Client Relations: Maintain and foster trusting relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with integrity and professionalism.
Contract Management: Ensure all projects are contracted in line with company risk standards and have approved contracts before commencement.
Budget and Performance Oversight: Monitor project budgets, schedules, and performance metrics, holding teams accountable for safety, quality, and cost objectives.
Subcontractor Coordination: Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring alignment with project plans and budgets.
Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely field cost reporting, forecasting, and invoice submissions to maintain positive project cash flow.
Process Improvement: Develop and implement processes to meet quarterly and annual operational goals, driving continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Minimum of 15 years of experience in industrial construction management within a direct-hire environment.
Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects in sectors such as chemical processing, power generation, or advanced manufacturing.
Strong understanding of safety regulations, quality standards, and project management methodologies.
Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.
Ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions.
