Mechanical Service Technician

Our client is a leading mechanical construction company specializing in innovative HVAC solutions for commercial and industrial clients.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a HVAC/Mechanical Service Technician / Electrician with strong troubleshooting skills, knowledge of controls, and the ability to read blueprints and work within BIM 360.
Job Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical electrical systems, controls, and related components in commercial/industrial environments.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals for accurate system diagnosis and installation.
- Utilize BIM 360 to review and manage project documentation, coordinate tasks, and track service activities.
- Perform preventative maintenance and service on electrical and control systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and company procedures.
- Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other technicians to ensure efficient problem resolution.
- Maintain detailed service reports and documentation.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Service Technician or Electrician, preferably in commercial or industrial settings.
- Strong expertise in troubleshooting and controls for electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Proficiency in BIM 360 or similar project management software.
- Knowledge of NEC codes, OSHA safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in electrical or controls systems.
- Experience with PLCs and automated control systems.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
