Mechanical Service Technician

Location: [Various Jobsites]

Our client is a leading mechanical construction company specializing in innovative HVAC solutions for commercial and industrial clients.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a HVAC/Mechanical Service Technician / Electrician with strong troubleshooting skills, knowledge of controls, and the ability to read blueprints and work within BIM 360.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical electrical systems, controls, and related components in commercial/industrial environments.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals for accurate system diagnosis and installation.
  • Utilize BIM 360 to review and manage project documentation, coordinate tasks, and track service activities.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and service on electrical and control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and company procedures.
  • Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other technicians to ensure efficient problem resolution.
  • Maintain detailed service reports and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Service Technician or Electrician, preferably in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Strong expertise in troubleshooting and controls for electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Proficiency in BIM 360 or similar project management software.
  • Knowledge of NEC codes, OSHA safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in electrical or controls systems.
  • Experience with PLCs and automated control systems.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
