Responsibilities:
Conduct visual inspections of welds to ensure compliance with specified welding procedures and codes.
Perform thorough examinations of welds using various inspection techniques.
Identify and document weld defects, discontinuities, and imperfections in accordance with established criteria and standards.
Ensure adherence to industry codes, welding procedures, and relevant standards during inspections. Stay up to date with the latest welding techniques, technologies, and industry best practices.
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification from a recognized certification body.
In-depth knowledge of welding processes, techniques, and standards.
Prepare comprehensive inspection reports, detailing inspection results, findings, and recommendations for corrective actions.
Maintain accurate records of inspection activities, including weld documentation, UT reports, and relevant certifications.
Proper documentation of inspection results and compliance with project requirements.
Communicate effectively with welding personnel, QA/QC, project managers, and engineering teams to address welding-related issues and concerns.
Collaborate to resolve non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
Demonstrated experience in welding inspection in mechanical industries.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and interpret welding defects accurately.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to prepare detailed reports and effectively communicate inspection findings.
A strong commitment to safety and the ability to promote a safe working environment.
Capable of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
