What You Will Be Doing

The Senior Mechanical Estimator leads the preparation of complex mechanical construction cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems on large-scale projects. This role requires extensive industry experience, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple high-value bids simultaneously.

The Ideal Candidate

• Develop comprehensive and competitive estimates for complex mechanical projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Review and interpret project documents, including drawings, specifications, and RFPs.
• Manage the solicitation and evaluation of supplier and subcontractor quotes, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Provide strategic input during bid review meetings to optimize competitiveness and profitability.
• Mentor and guide junior estimators, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
• Collaborate with project management and engineering teams to ensure estimates align with project execution strategies.
• Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to maintain competitive pricing.
• Present estimates and recommendations to senior leadership and clients as needed.

Other Essential Functions

• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Deep understanding of mechanical systems and construction practices.
• 5+ years of mechanical estimating experience, with a proven track record in HVAC, plumbing, or piping projects.
• Revit experience a plus
