Onsite Commissioning Project Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Onsite Commissioning Project Manager to lead the commissioning at client sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC systems, project management, and customer relations. You will be responsible for overseeing all startup, commissioning and project closeout activities, ensuring that our products operate at optimal performance while meeting customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and coordinate the commissioning process from initial site assessment through final handover, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Work with the lead project manager to resolve BIM issues expeditiously.
  • Technical Oversight: Supervise the installation and startup of modular chiller plants, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards. Coordinate schedules closely with Installation, Service and Commissioning (ISC) teams for project punch list and issue resolution.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues during the commissioning process, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to implement solutions.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to clients’ personnel on the operation and maintenance of systems.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of commissioning activities, including test results, operational data, and compliance documentation. Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud BIM360 is a plus.
  • Client Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the commissioning phase, fostering strong relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction. Represent EAS in interactions with GC/Client on site and attend review meetings.
  • Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce safety protocols and practices on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning, installation, or maintenance of HVAC systems, preferably modular chiller plants.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and controls.
  • Proven experience in project management, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Willingness to travel (90-100%) to various job sites (US) as required.
