Job Description
HVAC Service Technician
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on commercial HVAC systems.
Responsibilities include servicing:
- DX equipment up to 100 tons
- Packaged, water-cooled AC units up to 150 tons
- Water source heat pumps and associated equipment
- Computer room units with self-contained humidifiers and controls
- Gas-fired and electric heating systems up to 150 tons
- Pneumatic, electronic, and DDC control systems
- Air handling units, including VAV system
Key Duties:
- Starting systems,
- Observing operation,
- Adjusting valves, controls, and pumps to regulate fluid levels, pressure, and temperature.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment, replace defective parts, and perform site start-up services for new installations.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, including cleaning coils, ducts, and replacing fan belts, as well as installing electrical wiring for components.
- Keep the dispatcher informed of job status, check in daily, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- High School or Trade School Graduate (or GED)
- Universal Refrigerant Card (Type I or Universal)
- 4 years of commercial HVAC experience.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team.
- Flexible schedule, including on-call rotation for emergency service.
- Neat appearance and well-maintained equipment.
- Adherence to safety procedures, including defensive driving.
