Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis
THE POSITION
Purolator is seeking a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead the development, execution, and refinement of the corporate financial planning processes. This critical role will drive annual budgeting, long-range planning, and ongoing forecasting activities while delivering actionable insights that guide decision-making across the enterprise. With a balance of technical excellence, strategic and critical thinking, and leadership capability, the Manager, FP&A will play a central role in shaping Purolator’s financial future.
Reporting to the Director of FP&A, this individual will oversee two financial analysts and serve as a key partner to senior stakeholders. The role offers an exceptional opportunity to influence high-level decisions, lead strategic initiatives, and support the ongoing modernization of Purolator’s FP&A tools and processes.
In the first 6-12 months, the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, will be pivotal in:
- Leading the adoption and implementation of a new financial planning tool, ensuring it integrates seamlessly with existing systems and enhances operational efficiency.
- Overseeing the annual and multi-year budgeting processes, setting financial targets, and aligning them with strategic business goals.
- Enhancing financial forecasting models to improve accuracy and provide deeper insights into business sensitivities and potential scenarios.
WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Drive the strategic financial planning process across the organization, aligning with long-term business goals.
- Budget Development and Management: Craft and oversee the annual budget process, ensuring it reflects strategic priorities and operational realities.
- Financial Forecasting: Lead the financial forecasting efforts, providing accurate and timely financial insights to guide corporate decisions.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop a team of financial analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Deliver compelling presentations to senior executives and key stakeholders, translating complex financial data into actionable strategies.
- Process Optimization: To enhance efficiency and accuracy, identify and implement process improvements within the financial planning and analysis function.
- Tool Implementation: Play a critical role in selecting and implementing a new FP&A tool, ensuring it meets the organization's evolving needs.

Experience & Expertise: 5+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with a knack for navigating complex financial landscapes.
Educational & Professional Credentials: A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is required; a CPA designation is highly preferred and reflects your strong foundation in financial governance and reporting standards.
