Description:This role is responsible for maintaining facility equipment and supporting all manufacturing processes within a plant environment. The position plays a key role in upgrading existing systems, supporting plant layout changes, and assisting with the selection, installation, and commissioning of new equipment. It also provides day to day technical support to skilled trades and external contractors.
Responsibilities/skills:
• PLC programming experience. Support maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment, PLC systems, and facility electrical infrastructure.
• Assist with implementation of equipment upgrades, system improvements, and plant rearrangement projects.
• Program and maintain PLCs and HMIs, including troubleshooting control systems issues.
• Collaborate with skilled trades and contractors to support daily plant operations and ongoing projects.
• Work with automation systems, robotics, and SCADA integrations to improve manufacturing efficiency.
Qualifications:
• Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics with 3+ years of experience, or 10+ years of relevant hands on experience.
• Experience with PLC programming, preferably Allen Bradley and RSLogix5000.
• Familiarity with HMI programming, SCADA systems such as Wonderware or Intellution, and industrial automation.
• Knowledge of electrical systems under 600V, including NEC, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 79 standards.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical, along with strong communication and analytical skills.
