Job Description

Description: This role plays a key part in the design and management of K-12 educational projects across New York State. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of technical expertise, creativity, and client relationship skills, and is excited to contribute both to active projects and future business development efforts

Responsibilities/skills:
  • Lead and participate in all phases of K-12 and higher education projects, from concept through construction.

  • Interpret and apply New York State Education Department (SED) requirements for public school projects.

  • Ensure full compliance with SED procedures, staying current on all relevant updates and protocols.

  • Collaborate closely with clients, building trusted relationships and ensuring alignment with project goals and vision.

  • Support business development efforts by identifying client needs, attending presentations, and contributing to strategic planning initiatives.


Qualifications:
  • Active New York State Architect license.

  • 5–10+ years of architectural experience, with a strong focus on K-12 and/or higher education facilities.

  • In-depth knowledge of New York State Education Department (SED) procedures for public schools.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in client-facing roles.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines effectively.
