Job Description

Application Development Manager – Ruby on Rails

We’re hiring an Application Development Manager with strong Ruby on Rails experience to lead an engineering team building and supporting large-scale web applications. What You’ll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers through 1:1s, feedback, and career development
  • Manage sprint planning, workload balancing, and delivery commitments
  • Partner with Product and Design to translate requirements into technical execution
  • Drive engineering best practices, code quality, and scalable application design
  • Improve development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and team processes
  • Provide technical guidance on complex issues and production support when needed

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years in a technical lead or people management role
  • 5+ years of Ruby on Rails experience in production environments
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL
  • Frontend experience with Vue.js or similar
  • API experience with GraphQL and REST
  • Strong understanding of testing practices
  • Experience with AWS, Docker, and CI/CD workflows
  • Comfortable working with distributed teams and Agile methodologies
  • Strong communication and mentorship skills
