Job Description

Description: The Service Director oversees all aspects of the service department to ensure operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and compliance with industry standards. This role includes managing service staff, optimizing workflows, promoting cross-division collaboration, and maintaining strong client relationships. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Service Director plays a key role in aligning and improving service operations across teams.

Responsibilities/skills:
Service Operations Management – Oversee daily service operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to company procedures and industry best practices.

Team Leadership and Development – Lead, mentor, and develop the service team through effective training, performance management, and goal setting to maintain a skilled, motivated workforce.

Customer and Relationship Management – Serve as the primary point of contact for service inquiries, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and promoting additional service opportunities.

Compliance, Safety, and Financial Oversight – Ensure all service activities meet safety regulations, legal requirements, and company financial goals through careful review of expenditures and adherence to standards.

Cross-Departmental Coordination and Project Support – Collaborate with internal teams to align scheduling, project execution, and estimating efforts, supporting seamless operations and consistent client satisfaction.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical construction, including supervisory responsibilities, or possession of a related technical degree.

Demonstrated leadership capability in managing teams effectively and fostering a culture of collaboration and safety.

Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, construction methodologies, and applicable industry codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, field personnel, and executive leadership.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address project challenges and ensure successful outcomes.
