Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and driven Plant Manager to lead operations at a high-volume manufacturing facility with up to 600 employees. This role is responsible for driving performance across all key operational metrics—including safety, quality, production efficiency, cost control, and customer service. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented leader with a passion for continuous improvement and a strong commitment to employee engagement and development.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Direct daily plant operations to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in safety, quality, service, production, and cost.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational processes and systems with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
  • Ensure production practices align with legal and regulatory standards, company policies, and customer requirements.
  • Lead and mentor the plant leadership team in analyzing performance, solving problems, and adjusting strategies to meet evolving business needs.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence through strategic planning, team collaboration, and performance accountability.
  • Monitor plant KPIs, identify trends, and take proactive steps to ensure targets are consistently achieved.
  • Lead regular improvement planning sessions and oversee the development of actionable, measurable plans to meet strategic goals.
  • Champion the use of Daily Management Systems to track progress and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Oversee workforce planning, employee development, performance management, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and optimal deployment of resources to meet both short- and long-term business objectives.
  • Foster high employee engagement and support talent assessment, succession planning, and employee relations.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to recommend and implement business strategies for growth and efficiency.

 Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years in manufacturing operations leadership with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing teams with direct supervisory responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and people management.
  • Experience in Paper Converting and New Buildouts
