Responsibilities:
• Lead manufacturing excellence ensuring customer satisfaction and continuous improvement of quality, productivity, cycle time, delivery, and cash flow
• Direct hourly and manufacturing support employees
• Follow safety regulations and department-specific safety requirements
• Manage OEE, production value added, daily shipment targets, and profit/revenue metrics
• Promote clean and safe work environment for all employees
• Improve manufacturing planning, execution, and shop floor discipline
• Lead lean manufacturing initiatives and identify non-value-added waste
• Implement method improvements to reduce labor content and improve product flow
• Develop and train team leaders, supervisors, and manufacturing support personnel
• Address safety issues and non-compliances immediately
• Promote Injury Free Event reporting
• Manage department budgets
• Maintain customer relations and communication
• Develop budget, strategic plans, and objectives with plant manager
• Conduct capacity analysis and ensure accuracy of work standards
• Drive cost reductions to improve profitability
• Use lean tools to reduce WIP and cycle time
• Communicate relevant information to staff, customers, and management
• Apply constraint management techniques to improve OEE
• Consult with engineering on process modifications for improved production and quality
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED
• 7+ years leadership experience (3 years as direct supervisor)
• BA/BS in Business Administration or Engineering preferred
• Manufacturing experience
• Leadership skills creating engaged environments Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and total quality practices experience
• Demonstrated manufacturing excellence results
• Technical understanding of manufacturing processes
• Analytical, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills
• Financial literacy
• Experience with tooling, molds, and dies in Investment Casting, Injection Molding, or Stamping
