Responsibilities
• Supervise team through meetings, performance appraisals, staffing management, career development, and work assignments
• Provide feedback and maintain documentation for disciplinary actions
• Direct employee training and orientation on safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Maintain collective bargaining agreement compliance and handle grievances
• Review production reports and resolve operational problems to minimize costs
• Investigate deviations affecting schedules, costs, and quality; recommend corrective actions
• Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies; ensure employee understanding of available resources
• Collaborate with management, engineering, and quality control to resolve maintenance issues
• Review work procedures for safety compliance
• Develop and implement methods to improve operations and reduce costs
• Participate in safety inspections and housekeeping audits
• Comply with environmental, health, and safety requirements
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED
• 5+ years manufacturing experience
• 5+ years supervisory/managerial experience
• BS in Engineering or Business preferred but not required
• Presentation and communication skills
• Leadership skills creating engaged environments
• Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 6S implementation experience
• Technical understanding of manufacturing processes
• Analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
• Financial literacy
