SUMMARY
The Transformation Planning Specialist identifies and supports implementation of efficiency opportunities in supply chain with a focus on inventory management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Revise current inventory planning methods for direct shipping model and reduced distribution center footprint
- Assist leadership with forecasts, staffing and equipment needs to improve cost, utilization, service, and efficiencies
- Identify and define new approaches and systems for inventory management
- Assist in appropriately and accurately understanding and attributing inventory carrying costs
- Contribute to footprint recommendations for inventory movements, storage, and tracking
- Partner with the distribution team to update the planning methodology around materials and storage to maximize in-plant storage needs
- Plan inventory build to align with operational moves for Four in Focus (FiF)
- Contribute to a seamless bridge between Manufacturing and Engineering for FiF
- Assist with sequencing activities for FiF via analysis, planning, and management for all types of material inventories
- Partner with Procurement team to ensure flawless execution of inventory plans
- Implement effective solutions for complex supply chain challenges
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in supply chain, logistics, other related field of study
- In-depth understanding of and experience advising on supply chain principles, including forecasting, inventory management, logistics, procurement, and demand planning
- Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies to successfully optimize supply chain operations
- Strong knowledge of and experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and supply change management (SCM) software
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques for demand forecasting and trend analysis
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions for complex supply chain challenges
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve supply chain issues using data-driven approaches
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
