Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Engineering Maintenance Manager to lead and oversee our maintenance and reliability engineering functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, facilities, and machinery maintenance, with proven leadership capabilities and a solid understanding of reliability tools and lean manufacturing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of engineering and maintenance professionals across multiple shifts or continuous operations.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate maintenance strategies and projects to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Apply advanced engineering knowledge to the design, modification, and maintenance of machinery and facilities.
  • Oversee and ensure the execution of preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Utilize reliability tools and methodologies such as FMEA, RCM, and RCA to identify and address root causes of equipment failure.
  • Manage large, complex engineering projects from concept through completion, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including precision technical plans, blueprints, and models.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Train and mentor staff on equipment, technology, and procedures to build a skilled and adaptable team.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders regarding technical topics and project updates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Seven (7) years of experience in engineering, facilities, and/or machinery maintenance.
  • Seven (7) years of supervisory experience.
  • Two (2) years of hands-on experience performing equipment maintenance and reliability tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; approachable and accessible leadership style.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with successful delivery of complex engineering initiatives.
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering principles, production processes, and quality control methods.
  • Strong business acumen in maintenance planning, budgeting, and resource management.
  • Proficiency in communicating technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Fluency in English to ensure effective training and communication on safety and quality issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ten (10) years of experience in engineering, facilities, machinery maintenance, and/or reliability.
  • Five (5) years of direct experience in equipment reliability and maintenance.
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience managing operations in multi-shift or continuous production environments.
  • Background in paper converting, chemical or plastics processing, or industrial packaging.
  • Lean manufacturing experience and implementation.
