Job Description
One Tech Engineering is searching for a Distribution Outage Coordinator for a position located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Distribution Outage Coordinator will be responsible for writing and coordinating electrical switch plans as well as writing procedures.
The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have 5+ years’ experience as a trouble man/lineman.
Distribution Outage Coordinator Responsibilities: - Schedule, coordinate, and prepare electric distribution switching procedures for construction and maintenance departments, ensuring adherence to all safety and switching policies and guidelines.
- Write detailed switching procedures and coordinate all related activities with the Control Center.
- Review upcoming work to determine which switch plans need to be developed in the coming days, prepare and distribute them for review, and incorporate feedback as needed.
- Obtain necessary approvals and ensure switch plans are properly scheduled.
- Collaborate closely with the Control Center during execution, hand off approved plans, and follow up on any questions or clarifications they may have.
Requirements of the Distribution Outage Coordinator:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Troubleshooter or Lineman.
- Strong understanding of electric distribution systems and field operations.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with others and effectively coordinate and schedule work activities.
- Experience with Oracle NMS is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
