Job Description

One Tech Engineering is searching for a Designer for a position located in Denver, Colorado. The Project Manager will manage capital improvement projects for the company’s gas system, specifically non-pipeline assets such as regulator stations, odorization facilities, compressor stations, and other fixed assets.

The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have 5–7 years of experience as a Project Manager (PM), preferably within the gas utility industry.

Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle from concept to close-out, including funding requests, engineering coordination, stakeholder engagement, procurement (quotes, POs, vendors), execution, and project finalization.
  • Manage project deliverables and milestones based on each project phase.
  • Coordinate regularly with internal teams (engineering, operations, SMEs, procurement) and external stakeholders (vendors, cities, municipalities).
  • Ensure adherence to the project lifecycle, maintaining timelines, budgets, and clear stakeholder communication.
  • Support the Process Controls team in managing non-pipeline gas assets.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, operations personnel, procurement teams, third-party engineering firms, city and municipal stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Lead projects involving replacements, relocations, and system upgrades within the gas utility infrastructure.
Requirements of the Project Manager:
  • 5–7 years of experience as a Project Manager, preferably within the gas utility industry.
  • A combination of 2–3 years of gas industry experience plus a strong project management background is also acceptable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum.
  • Prior experience with gas utilities, pipeline facilities, or refinery projects.
  • PMP certification is nice to have.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability in project lifecycle management and organizational planning.
  • Demonstrated accountability and ability to drive project timelines.
  • Proven budget management and cost control experience.
  • Skilled in cross-functional coordination and collaboration across multiple teams.
