Job Description

One Tech Engineering is searching for an E&C Engineer for a position located in Denver, Colorado. The E&C Engineer will manage all emergent capital projects at the plant and provide support for larger base and major capital projects.

The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, with at least 2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing/plant environment like a power plant.

 

E&C Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with reliability engineering to develop project scopes and justifications, process them through the company’s emergent capital request system, and oversee execution of all assigned projects.
  • Oversee up to 20 small projects simultaneously while also supporting larger base capital initiatives.
  • Work closely with operations and reliability teams to understand plant systems, their operation, and to plan future work that ensures plant reliability.
  • Attend daily POD meetings to coordinate and prioritize critical tasks, and maintain ongoing communication with operations and reliability personnel throughout the day.
  • Supervise contractors executing projects in the field and ensure safe, efficient, and compliant performance.
  • Manage all project administration, including developing scopes of work and technical specifications, obtaining equipment quotes, managing bid processes when necessary, and coordinating material deliveries and installations with plant personnel.
  • Participate in planning and execution to continuously improve plant reliability and performance.
Requirements of the E&C Engineer:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing or plant environment, such as a power plant.
  • Proven cradle-to-grave project management experience.
  • Previous experience managing contractors and coordinating field execution.
  • Strong background in project management processes, including project plan development, creation of charters, and budget management.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Completion or intent to take the FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) exam is preferred.
