Job Description

One Tech Engineering is looking for a Production Supervisor for a third shift position located in Madison, Wisconsin. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for keeping operations running efficiently, ensuring safety and quality standards, and developing team members.

 

The candidate must be a US Citizen or a green card holder; the position is not eligible for sponsorship. The candidate should have previous experience in a supervisor or management role and preferably knowledge of print or print finishing processes.

 

Production Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all production operations and personnel on your shift.
  • Ensure production schedules are met, shift changeovers are accurate, and reports are completed on time.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Scheduling, Quality, and Shipping to ensure smooth operations.
  • Exercise sound judgment in responding to production changes and adjustments.
  • Support QMS compliance and company production strategies.
  • Track labor, downtime, and production metrics; analyze and recommend improvements.
  • Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, career development planning, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure safety procedures and protect company/customer property.

Requirements of the Production Supervisor:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of supervisor or management experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in a job shop manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using measurement tools such as rulers or calipers.
  • Experience with employee discipline, performance reviews, and corrective action.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to operate independently in a dynamic, job-shop environment with rapidly changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of print or print finishing processes.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement.
