Job Description

One Tech Engineering is searching for a Project Controls Specialist for a position located in Denver, Colorado or Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Project Controls Specialist will provide cost tracking/cost forecasting on our major projects within energy supply.

The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate must have at least 5 to 7 years of cost accounting experience within the construction, renewables, or oil and gas industry.
  
Project Controls Specialist Responsibilities:

• Perform primary project controls assignments to support Project Managers.
• Accountable for generating reports, assisting with control activities, responding to data requests and developing/maintaining/supporting project schedules and/or detailed cost tracking.
• Coordinates with Project Managers to obtain weekly and monthly cost and schedule updates. This includes project financials, the health of the financials, and the project as a whole by submitting monthly forecasts accruals.
• Assist the Project Managers in providing accurate project forecasting and review of expenditures.
• Attend project meetings.

Requirements of the Project Controls Specialist:

• 5-7 years of experience with cost accounting within the construction, renewables, or oil and gas industry.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in SAP (ECC) is strongly preferred.
• Experience with macros is preferred.
• PMP certification is a nice to have.
• Good communication skills.
