One Tech Engineering is searching for a Domestic Operations Manager for a position located in Orlando, Florida. The Domestic Operations Manager will facilitate inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management.
The candidate must be a US Citizen or a green card holder, the position is not eligible for sponsorship. The candidate should have 5-7 years of experience for a 3PL / Freight Forwarding company.
Domestic Operations Manager Responsibilities:- Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.
- Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, or training or safety records
- Provide guidance to logistics specialists, planners, or schedulers.
- Coordinate comprehensive logistical or reverse logistical functions for product life cycles, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, recycling, reuse, or final disposal of resources.
- Correspond with suppliers or customers to improve supply chain efficiency or sustainability.
- Facilitate distribution center operation to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives
- Assist with the execution of negotiating transportation rates or services
- Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers.
- Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency.
- Monitor product import or export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements.
- Participate in carrier management processes, such as selection, qualification, or performance evaluation.
- Assist in the development of risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios.
- Plan or advise on improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes.
- Plan or advise on material flow management systems to meet production requirements.
- Analyze all aspects of corporate logistics to determine the most cost-effective or efficient means of transporting products or supplies.
- Facilitate policies and procedures for logistics activities
- Communicate freight transportation information to customers or suppliers, using transportation management, electronic logistics marketplace, or electronic freight information systems, to improve efficiency, speed, or quality of transportation services
- Establish or monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems.
- Execute specific customer requirements, such as internal reporting or customized transportation metrics.
- Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery
- Review global, national, or regional transportation or logistics reports for ways to improve efficiency or minimize the environmental impact of logistics activities.
Requirements of the Domestic Operations Manager:
- 5-7 years of experience for a 3PL / Freight Forwarding company.
- Knowledge of transportation and logistics (air, rail, sea, road) and related cost/efficiency considerations.
- Proven customer service management experience, including needs assessment, service quality, and satisfaction evaluation.
- Strong understanding of business operations, strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, and team coordination.
- Familiarity with supply chain, manufacturing, production workflows, quality control, and distribution.
- Expertise in training design, delivery, and effectiveness measurement.
- Strong competency in mathematics, data analysis, and operational modeling.
- Knowledge of finance/accounting principles and financial data reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Office applications, ERP, CRM, and WMS (e.g., Deposco, CargoWise ediEnterprise).
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
