Job Description
One Tech Engineering is searching for a Siting and Land Rights Technician for a position located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Siting and Land Rights Technician will be responsible for coordinating records management for land rights, landowner records and permits utilizing the Land works system.
The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should a High school diploma or GED and previous contract management, real estate, paralegal or data management experience.
Siting and Land Rights Technician Responsibilities:- Maintain and prepare contracts in SAP and payment processing for outside contractors and vendors.
- Coordinate payment of railroad license and wind/solar lease payments.
- Coordinates and directs landowner/customer inquires related to land rights and permitting.
- Coordinate consultant contracts for Siting & Land Rights department.
- Initiate requests, process payments and provide status updates as needed.
- Provide timely invoice payment.
- Lead coordination of records management for Siting & Land Rights department, including easements, deeds, permits and general project information.
- Oversee quality control of data entry and maintenance of data in the property rights electronic records management system (Landworks).
- Work with department staff and company records management staff to ensure consistent approach to electronic and hard copy file management.
- Review landowner data sheets provided by Land Rights Agents for accuracy and completeness.
- Support data entry and maintenance of the real property asset management system.
- Respond to initial landowner inquiries for Land Rights and Permitting staff.
- Troubleshoot first response to landowner inquiries; gather information for various land rights management activities, provide data about new projects during permitting process.
- Forward inquiries and unresolved issues to appropriate staff.
- Maintain policies and procedures documents.
- Coordinate schedule regarding document reviews and ensure dissemination of updated information to appropriate personnel.
- Coordinate Siting & Land Rights department work order and invoice payment processes.
- Request, maintain, manage and close all easement, land acquisition and land sale work orders.
- Coordinate payment of railroad license and wind/solar farm lease payments.
- Generate Request for Payments for the Agents Account.
Requirements of the Siting and Land Rights Technician:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Contract management, real estate, paralegal or data management experience preferred.
- Excellent writing and technical skills including Microsoft Office standard applications.
- Demonstrated records management, strong organizational skills and knowledge of business operations.
- Experience with SAP is a nice to have.
