Job Description
One Tech Engineering is searching for a Project Controls Specialist for a position located in Denver, Colorado. The Project Controls Specialist will be responsible for creating and updating Primavera (P6) project life cycle schedules.
The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have 5 years of experience in scheduling.
Project Controls Specialist Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with employees across various departments to provide and gather updates on activities and projects, ensuring vendor schedules are integrated into the overall project lifecycle schedules.
- Perform key project control tasks to support Project Managers in maintaining project timelines and budgets.
- Generate, manage, and analyze reports, assist with control activities, respond to data requests, and develop, maintain, and support project schedules and detailed cost tracking.
- Work closely with Project Managers to gather weekly and monthly updates on cost and schedule performance.
- Assist Project Managers in providing accurate project forecasts and reviewing expenditures to ensure proper budget control.
Requirements of the Project Controls Specialist:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in scheduling.
- Extensive experience with P6/Primavera, with a solid understanding of the Critical Path Method (CPM).
- Strong knowledge of engineering and construction lifecycle scheduling within the oil and gas, construction, and renewable energy sectors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and similar tools.
- Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with various teams.
