Job Description
One Tech Engineering is searching for a Civil Solar Farm Inspector for a position located near Amarillo, Texas. The Civil Solar Farm Inspector will be responsible for managing the civil construction/inspection aspects of a large energy project.
The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have 5-7 years of experience in civil engineering or construction inspection.
Civil Solar Farm Inspector Responsibilities: - Work closely with contractors to ensure that the ground is properly prepared for driving piles, which are essential for the solar farm structure.
- Oversee these civil operations, ensuring they meet project standards.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with the storm water and wastewater management plan (SWIP) and handling any related issues.
- Handle any general technical or civil-related questions that arise during the project, ensuring that the civil work aligns with both regulatory and project-specific requirements.
- Accountable for meeting agreed upon scope, cost, schedule and quality measures.
- Develops project plan and drives project milestones.
- Establishes effective communication plan with project team and key stakeholders.
- Provides day-to-day direction to project resources and ensures the project teams are provided the resources and support that enable the teams to reach their defined objectives.
- Ensures effective change management occurs throughout the course of the project.
- Responsible for preparation of documentation and status reports.
Requirements of the Civil Solar Farm Inspector:
- 5-7 years of experience in civil engineering or construction inspection.
- Experience with land surveying, soil assessment, trenching and excavation.
- Experience with renewable energy projects, primarily solar farms, is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong Safety Background.
- Excellent oral and written communications, interpersonal, negotiation, project planning, judgment, leadership, decision-making, analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of construction project best practices.
- Valid Driver’s License.
