Position Summary: Make a real difference every shift as a Certified Nursing Assistant at our VA Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. You’ll provide compassionate, hands-on care for Veterans across clinical and residential care settings, combining patient intake support with direct personal care. With day, evening, and night shifts available and your choice of days, this full-time, permanent role lets you build a schedule that works for your life.

Position Offers:

• Competitive pay of $19.00–$22.00 per hour, DOE

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with patient intake, including vital signs, weight, and medical history
• Provide direct personal care, including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and feeding
• Support mobility and transfers using appropriate care equipment
• Prepare exam rooms, assist clinical staff with minor procedures, and escort patients to appointments
• Promote infection control by cleaning and restocking care areas
• Monitor and report changes in patient or resident condition to nursing staff
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, including intake and output
• Provide one-on-one observation and participate in resident activities to promote engagement and safety

Qualifications:

• Active, valid CNA certification (state or compact)
• At least 1 year of CNA experience (long-term care, hospital, or clinic preferred)
• Current BLS certification
• Prior VA, federal, or military healthcare experience is a plus
